Below are the reviews so far received for DEAR JOHN ......

Harlesden, Neasden, Islington, Kilburn...not the most romantic of London locations, yet in this collection, Patricia Sentinella finds the poetry in these places as she tells one woman's life story of loves found and lost, and relationships with parents, grandparents and neighbours, in a collection of evocative and poignant memories. The backdrop is a London which is at once familiar, yet already lost in history - "A sixties' Biba dress in silky, clinging apricot with matching hood. The skirt is - well - extremely short, the story longer...."

Highly recommended.....Elaine Mulvaney

Pat is a very gifted writer and poet and this, her first collection, is a delight. Pat's imaginative style and wonderful way with words, keeps the reader turning the pages and then returning again and again. Each time I pick up the book, although I have now read it right through, I still read the words as if for the first time and enjoy them. I am sure this book will evoke memories for many readers and take them on journey into their own past.

Highly recommended...Gill Hartley

I loved her book, which I read during a wedding trip to Spain last weekend. How amazing to be able to say so much with (sometimes) only a few words. She conveys so much emotion in a simple way & it was such a pleasure to read. So - thank you again!

'Poetry does not get much better than this: spare writing allowing the reader to engage with the poem. Sentinella can capture the moment and record it brilliantly. Cracking stuff.'

'I can't put it down. My dad had nicked my copy and fallen in love. Where can I buy more?’
